However, there is a large cottonwood tree preventing that and it is not possible to place the sidewalk around it. Therefore, a contribution in cash for the unconstructed portion of the sidewalk in lieu of actually constructing it will be required prior to the issuance of the DCP or excavation permit. An estimate for our review and approval will be required prior to final plan approval. City code requires that all driveways must be constructed in accordance with detail 706 and be paved in concrete to the back of walk. The sidewalk must be continued through the driveway and constructed as far west as possible without getting into the tree roots of the existing cottonwood.
