The proposal has been brought to the City's Conceptual Review group and a Neighborhood Meeting has been done. These are both pre -submittal steps, so I do not have any concrete information to provide you with at this point. If and when the South Transit Center Project Development Plan is formally submitted to the City for review I will have more information. Neighbors within 800 feet of the proposed site will be notified of the Public Hearing and are encouraged to attend and share their opinion at the meeting. There is no other formal public participation prior to the Public Hearing, but all our files are public record and anyone is welcome to come in at any time to review them. I will place this email with your concerns in the project file, and it will be given to the decision maker for the Public Hearing though. I recommend contacting me again in the next few weeks to see if a formal submittal has been made yet, then we can talk about the project when I know more about it. Please feel free to call or email. My husband (Peter Neidhardt) and I recently bought a new home at 4807 Crest Road. I'm wondering if you can send information to us concerning the South Transit Center. Prior to buying the house, we were told that this is a very quite and safe neighborhood. That, and being so close to an elementary school, was one of the reasons we bought the house. I'm concerned about the additional noise, lights, smell, and traffic that the South Transit Center would have running from dawn till midnight near the neighborhood. 1 also have three small children and am concerned about any criminal activity and/or transients that inevitably congregate near bus stations. Has the school district been told of these plans and are they okay with it being so close to McGraw Elementary? Any information and/or public meeting times would be helpful, and could you please send it to both of our addresses. Thanks. Tania Metcalf ( http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/201469227/direct/01/ )
