Re: 218 W. Laurel - Meeting Wednesday and Early Comments from Building
Courtney & Russ, concerning the "project specific concerns", item # 4 "Building code requires project provide accessible
units." Russ, you and I met early on concerning this project and specifically discussed whether accessible units would be
required. Since there are only six units proposed (less than 7 units per C.R.S. 9-5-101-106), and there are no ground floor
units or elevators, accessible units are not required. Also, we discussed the need for accessible parking and determined
that no accessible parking is required since there would be no accessible units.
Could you please confirm. Thanks

Additionally, the building department has provided some comments regarding the project (attached).
You'll want to take a look at those (especially the information at the bottom) and give Russ Hovland a
call with any questions. Since this is a combined PDP and Final, we will want to work closely to
coordinate the timing of the building permit submittal.
