College Ave. PO Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 970.221.6750 970.224.6134 - fax fcgov.com/Currentp/anning November 18, 2008 On Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 5:30 p.m., in conference room A of 281 North College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Director will conduct a public hearing to consider a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is referred to as Poudre Fire Authority — Station Four, #33-08. The project consists of building a new fire station for the purpose of relocating Station #4 to 2604 South Taft Hill Road (O'Donnell property). The site is approximately five acres and located at the southeast corner of West Drake Road and South Taft Hill Road. The new station will be located east of the existing house. The new station would allow P.F.A. to lower the response times in the designated coverage area. The new station would feature four vehicle bays and be larger than the present station located on 2030 Devonshire Drive. A community meeting room would be provided. A new traffic signal will be installed on Drake Road but can only be actuated by the Poudre Fire Authority during a call and will otherwise not impede traffic flow. The City Current Planning Staff and Director consider your interest and input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an important part of the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend, written comments are welcome. The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. Sincerely- TedShepard, AICP Chief Planner The City of Fort Collins will make reasonable accommodations for access to City services, programs, and activities and will make special communication arrangements for persons with disabilities.
