06/04/2013: FIRE CONTAINMENT
The building exceeds 5000 square feet and shall be sprinklered or fire contained. If containment is
used, the containment construction shall be reviewed and approved by the Poudre Fire Authority prior
to installation.

Comment Originated: 07/11/2013
07/11/2013: The comment pertaining to FIRE CONTAIMENT (No. 1 above) was originated on 12/14/12
and to date, this concern has not been addressed by the applicant. If fire separation is being
proposed in lieu of sprinklering the building, fire containment needs to be detailed on the plans. Until
then, this comment shall remain active. Otherwise, the building WILL require an automatic sprinkler
system. You may contact me with questions.

Two upsized mitigation trees would be required for the 11 inch diameter hawthorn tree to be removed.
This tree is listed as a Tatarian Maple in the Existing tree list on sheet L2. Please correct the species
on sheet LS an list 2 mitigation trees. Mitigation trees need to be 3 inch caliper shade trees or 2.5

07/10/2013: The existing electric primary to the single-phase 25kva transformer maybe in direct
conflict of the building expansion. This transformer is on a radial feed with no backup. This could be
problematic in keeping the building in power while building the addition. Contact Light & Power
Engineering to discuss options. 970-222-6700.

06/11/2013: Street Tree placement and Selection:
Please change the three street trees along South Lemay to Skyline Honeylocust to provide continuity
with some other trees to the north and south along Lemay.
Please place street trees generally in these locations. Not planting right in front of the Austrian Pine
allows for future growth and maturity of the pine and for the new street trees. Trees need to be at least
6 feet from the water or sewer service lines and 8 feet from a driveway or curb cut.
North street tree around 6-10 feet north of the north water line
Middle street tree 6 feet to the south of the south water line
South street tree around 8-10 feet from the curb cut
