[12/16/08] The water service sizing calculations are needed soon to determine the size of
the water service for the residential portion of the building. If a 3-inch service is needed,
the meter vault is approximately 8 feet by 10 feet which will affect site layout.

nor remote FDC would be approved if it's located INTERNALLY on the site (access via
the alley). ALSO, please contact me for specific requirements for remote FDCs (height,
color, angles, etc.).

[4/1/09] PFA will approve the new proposed name of The Flats at the Oval.
[9/5/08] OVAL VS. OVAL FLATS: While DMS has the project listed as Oval Flats, the
plan sheets showed The Oval. Please avoid referring to the project as simply The Oval.
From an emergency response standpoint, calling this building The Oval could be very
confusing. If we're dispatched to a call at The Oval, we could respond to the incorrect
geometrical location, delaying when we access the patient.

[4/l/09] Because there is not sufficient room in the public sidewalk area to construct a
remote FDC, PFA will allow the fire sprinkler/standpipe connection to be building
mounted.
[9/5/08] FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION: Fire department connections shall be
installed remote from the buildings, and located on the street or fire lane side of
buildings, fully visible and recognizable from the street or nearest point of fire
department vehicle access or as otherwise approved by the fire code official. If possible, a
fire hydrant shall be located within 100 feet of the FDC. PFA Bureau Policy. PLEASE
NOTE: It is unlikely PFA will approve an on -building FDC. However, can you be more
specific where your proposed on -building FDC would be located? Are you referring to
Response: LCUASS does not have a true outfall c+g detail. Therefore we typically use
detail 703. To clarify on this set — we have "X"ed out portions of the detail that are not
applicable. This was discussed and approved at a meeting with Susan Joy.

1. CDOT details have been added to the detail sheets A scoring detail and plan view of
the scoring has been added to the plan and profile sheets
2. Stormwater Dept allows A2000 (PVC) in the ROW.

flagstone sidewalk. If the flagstone will not be used on -site, it must be carefully removed
and taken to a City holding area for future re -use. Please label the Site, Landscape and
Utility Plans that the existing flagstone must be carefully removed and returned to the
C'ty.
Response: A note has been added to the Site and landscape Plan. This has also been
added to the Wity plans on the Demo sheet Please see note 18.

[3/24/09] Sheet 8 - Please provide a drainage pan down the middle of the alley and show
in plan, profile and typical section views.
Response: After a meeting with Susan Joy and getting feedback from Rhonda Henson,
it has been concluded that the scoring will be equidistant across the alley width, rather
than delineating a drain pan. Please see plan and profile sheet for design.
