I will check to see if they were routed incorrectly. [12/16/08] The water service sizing calculations are needed soon to determine the size of the water service for the residential portion of the building. If a 3-inch service is needed, the meter vault is approximately 8 feet by 10 feet which will affect site layout. [9/2/08] Provide water service sizing calculations for review. Response: Roger should have a copy of the calculations at this point Please contact me directly if this is not the case (Jon Sweet 484-1921 ext 22) Number: 115 Created: 3/31 /2009 [3/31/09] On Sheet 4, revise Utility Notes 1 and 6 as noted on the red -lined plans. Response: additional info has been added to the Site Plan Ole Jonathan Sweet, PE Project Engineer the southwest comer of the building, adjacent to Laurel Street? Neither an on -building nor remote FDC would be approved if it's located INTERNALLY on the site (access via the alley). ALSO, please contact me for specific requirements for remote FDCs (height, color, angles, etc.). Response: Acknowledged Number: 64 Created: 9/5/2008 [4/1/09] PFA will approve the new proposed name of The Flats at the Oval. [9/5/08] OVAL VS. OVAL FLATS: While DMS has the project listed as Oval Flats, the plan sheets showed The Oval. Please avoid referring to the project as simply The Oval. From an emergency response standpoint, calling this building The Oval could be very confusing. If we're dispatched to a call at The Oval, we could respond to the incorrect geometrical location, delaying when we access the patient. Response: official name will be "Flats at the Oval" Department: Stormwater-Water-Wastewater Issue Contact: Wes Lamarque Topic: Stormwater Number: I I I Created: 3/31/2009 [3/31/09] Please provide better separation between the inlet and the nearest tree. Response: Due to a lack of space the tree has been removed and the outlet structure will remain in the same location. Needs to match the title on Sheet 8 as well, so please change one or the other to match. [12/17/08] Please make some minor changes to the title at the top of the cover sheet. See red -lines for clarification. Response: "imp" and the month are now spelled out fully rather than abbreviated Number: 81 Created: 12/17/2008 [3/18/09] Repeat. Please enlarge the signature block to 4x6". [12/17/08] The City signature blocks area little small. Please enlarge them slightly and use a consistent size on each sheet. Department: Light & Power Topic: Utility Plans Number: 108 [3/26/09] No Comments Response. Acknowledged Department: PFA Topic: Fire Issue Contact: Alan Rutz Created: 3/26/2009 Issue Contact: Carie Dann Number: 60 Created: 9/5/2008 [4/l/09] Because there is not sufficient room in the public sidewalk area to construct a remote FDC, PFA will allow the fire sprinkler/standpipe connection to be building mounted. [9/5/08] FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION: Fire department connections shall be installed remote from the buildings, and located on the street or fire lane side of buildings, fully visible and recognizable from the street or nearest point of fire department vehicle access or as otherwise approved by the fire code official. If possible, a fire hydrant shall be located within 100 feet of the FDC. PFA Bureau Policy. PLEASE NOTE: It is unlikely PFA will approve an on -building FDC. However, can you be more specific where your proposed on -building FDC would be located? Are you referring to Response: LCUASS does not have a true outfall c+g detail. Therefore we typically use detail 703. To clarify on this set — we have "X"ed out portions of the detail that are not applicable. This was discussed and approved at a meeting with Susan Joy. Number: 107 Created: 3/24/2009 [3/24/09] Sheet 11 - Please remove detail 709 and replace it with D10 or DI I from Stormwater, whichever is applicable. Response: Discussed at meeting with Susan Joy - conclusion was that detail 709 can remain as is without the addition of other details Number: 109 Created: 3/31 /2009 [3/31/09] From Inspection: 1. Please detail the joint pattern for the concrete alley, show and dimension the alley pan, page 8. 2. The stormline should be 15" RCP going into Howes Street, not PVC. Response: 1. Also, the second detail on the right is not quite clear to me .... which area is this representing? Response: This has been clarified Number: 104 Created: 3/24/2009 [3/24/09] Sheet 8 - Please provide a drainage pan down the middle of the alley and show in plan, profile and typical section views.
