[8/l/08] This property is located within the South College Corridor Plan study area. The
City is currently evaluating land use designation alternatives for this and other sites along the
Corridor. A recommendation will be made in early fall based on public input, including
owner preferences, and City Council direction. The Plan will be finalized late fall/early
winter 2008, with Council adoption in early 2009.

[8/1/08] A neighborhood meeting needs to be held on this rezoning according to Section
2.2.2 of the Land Use Code.

[8/13/08] City staff is, at this time, is generally supportive of the requested zoning change
from CC, Community Commercial to C, Commercial. Advance Planning will further discuss
this request at a staff meeting on Tuesday, August 19th. Their opinion is that ideally they
would like to have comments from a neighborhood meeting to help determine their final
position on the rezoning. Therefore, it is very important to schedule a neighborhood meeting
for as soon as possible so that staff can reach a final position on the rezoning and prepare the
required Staff Report for the Planning & Zoning Board for their September 18th public
hearing.
