Subject: Ridgeview Sidewalk
Michelle,
I have attached an aerial of the area questioned concerning the walk.
If you look at it the street, there is no other walk on that side of the walk and will be a walk to nowhere. There is no
chance that more walk get installed on that side of the street in the future since it is built out. Currently there is a
crossing that allows ADA access to the other side of the street where the walk is continued along Welch or back to
Stoney Hill.
Thank you and have a great day,

Subject: RE: Ridgeview Sidewalk
Hi Michelle,
Ted passed me your email regarding the sidewalk requirement along the backside of the Ridgeview Classical School
property. Installing missing sidewalk during redevelopment is consistent with city policy and code for all development
projects and is also identified in the IGA between the city and PSD. I understand that there are missing sidewalks in the
area around the property now but with future redevelopment projects and pedestrian orientated projects that may not
be the case in the future. It is especially important to the city to have pedestrian connectivity around schools and
neighborhoods adjacent to schools as we see an increase in pedestrian use in these areas.
Thanks,
Tyler

Ted,
Attached is an aerial view of the property line of The Little Bear Day Care (Ridgeview project) showing the stretch of
property line on Welsh which requires new sidewalk per the review comments from your staff.
I would like to discuss this requirement with you and review the attached image. Perhaps you will agree that installing a
small fragment of sidewalk in this area will create a "dead end" that could possibly be considered a safety hazard. The
neighborhood is well served by sidewalks that appear to be intentionally designed and installed. Michael Chalona of our
office offers his assessment below.
