Attached are the drawings from Northern Engineering. I spoke with Chuck Steiner at CDOT and he
had the following comments:
1) Retain the bus pullout versus placing a bus stop in the aoceVdecel lane.
2) If possible, move the bus pullout at the Private Drive to the south, out of the curvature of
the curbline.
3) Remove the bus stop/bus pullout from the location south of Avondale Drive. He believes
there are too many movements at that location and the addition of a bus pullout/bus stop
would only confuse things and increase conflicts.
4) He believes that removing the stop at Avondale Drive would not pose a safety issue
related to pedestrian crossing. Requiring pedestrians to walk '/rblock from the bus
pullout to the crosswalk at Carpenter/Avondale is a reasonable design.
