Regarding_ Raptor Nest, East Ridge Project
Dear George,
SEP 2 2 2t106
As requested we completed 3 field visits to review the status of the raptor stick nest
located in the large cottonwood tree along the westem edge of the development site. The
field visits were completed in early May, late May, June of 2006. The purpose of the
field visits was to determine nest activity during the summer of 2006_ The surveys were
completed by using binoculars and a spotting scope. The surveys were completed before
leaves were present and after leaf out.
No nesting raptors were observed in the nest during these field visits. A red-tailed hawk
was observed in the general area but the bird was not using the existing nest site.
Based on the site visits the existing raptor nest was not used during the nesting/breediug
season of 2006.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Wiildland Consultants, Inc.
