1. Agreement to configuration
2. They do all the earthwork to reconfigure the pond including compaction of dirt
where backfill occurs, and our soils engineers (Terracon) notified in a timely
fashion so we can do the testing necessary to confirm adequate compaction as it
occurs. Also City construction at their sole expense all other stormwater
detention and water quality related facilities, structures, earth configuration,
seeding and/or landscaping.
3. Construction of walkway berm through the middle of retention pond including
walk, lighting and construction of actual concrete walk across City property
providing connectivity to the Mason Street Trail. In coordination with Kathleen
Reavis in relation to this.
4. Our stormwater detention to be allowed in new detention pond and stormwater
fees waived.

Re:
Manhattan
Following up our meeting Monday, Troy, thanks for the good ideas.
I share your frustration about losing this excellent multi -family site from a planning
standpoint. As I mentioned, however, I'm afraid that at the end of the day the major cost
differential between this alternative and other far more expensive ones for solving the
regional storm drainage will be the consideration that prevails.
In any event, I think we can build a nice project here, albeit much smaller than originally
intended.
I am sharing with you my agenda and ideas for my upcoming meeting with Mark Taylor
at Stormwater. Mark Taylor at Stormwater has been the lead person for the detention
ponds expansion and coordination efforts. I have also asked Kaye at my office to invite
you as well as Basil, Glen and Kathleen. Convening this group should be very
productive in concluding a satisfactory final conceptual design for this project.
Please review the enclosed agenda items (rough in-house memo, usually for myself
only) and let me know if you have any suggestions or additions etc. etc.
Best regards.
Jon
