Re: Review of Demolition Proposal, Gillespie Farm Buildings, 2404 N. County Road 11
Dear Mike and Tom:
As you are aware, your proposal to demolish the Gillespie Farm buildings, located at the southeast
corner of County Road 11 and County Road 52, has been reviewed under Chapter 14, Article 4 of
the Fort Collins Code, commonly called the Demolition/Alteration Review Process.
After consultation with the Chair of the Landmark Preservation Commission and with Historic
Preservation staff, the Director of Advance Planning has determined that the Gillespie Farm
buildings lack historical, .geographical and/or architectural significance sufficient to qualify as a
Local Landmark, and that their demolition would be inconsequential to the historic integrity of
adjacent properties and the surrounding area. Therefore, the buildings can be demolished without
further historic preservation review.
The Gillespie Farm consists of a cluster of associated farm buildings located at 2404 N. County Road
11, and of a single farmhouse located slightly more than 1/4 mile to the south, opposite the junction
of County Road 11 and Country Club Road.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or if I can be of further assistance. I can be reached
at 224-6078.
Sincerel
