Mr. Thomas is, in fact, incorrect in his assertion that "some of City staff don't attend the neighborhood meeting".
Present at both neighborhood meetings (December 7ch for the POP and January 18ih for the proposed new
Amended CDP) were Brian Varrella and Glen Schlueter of Stormwater, Marc Virata of Engineering, Matt Wempe
of Transportation Planning, Ward Stanford of Traffic Engineering and Lindsey Ex, our Environmental Planner.
City staff did respond to, address and answer questions and concerns concisely at the neighborhood meetings.
Mr. Thomas was present at both meetings and heard staffs responses and answers. There are some "answers"
that are not yet completed in the DRAFT neighborhood meeting notes that have been provided and that is
because I do the best I can at the meeting to capture all questions and answers but am not always able to write
everything down due to the speed of the meeting. That is why I have provided the draft notes to City staff, the
applicant & developer, and neighbors with the intent (and request) to get these gaps filled. Some answers have
already been completed since the meetings.

For the record I would like to make a correction to my last message.
Brian Varrella and Ward Stanford were not at the January 18th neighborhood meeting but were at the December
7th meeting, as well as previous meetings in December, 2009 and July, 2010.
All of the other staff aforementioned, including Ginny Sawyer, have been to at least 2 of the 4 neighborhood
meetings held for The Grove and Amended CSURF ODP.
At this point are we dealing with just an FYI from the City Manager's office or is it a SAR?
