Dear Glenn,
I am the President of Sundering Townhomes HOA. I have attended all of
President:
the neighborhood meetings regarding "The Grove" development. I have
Janet Hascall
voiced my concerns of the present drainage into the wetlands that
221-5442
starts at the corner of Bridgefietd Lane and Shire Court. As I explained,
the drainage from the irrigation ditches to the south of this
Vice -President:
intersection, flows down beside the Care Housing, Windtrail
Nicole Haworth
Apartments, that gathers into a current mosquito pond. This backs up
215-6331
to Sundering Townhomes along Shire Court. This was intended to be an
Secretary:
overflow basin that flows on down into the wetlands. Because of
Sharon Sheppard
CSURF's negligence in keeping the silt cleaned out of the wetlands, so it
482-8790
can flow property, we have a stagnant, slim and trash filled pond that
we cannot get rid of. There was an enormous amount of hoops John
Treasurer:
McCoy and the developer of Care Housing had to jump through to get at[
Mary Stokes
of the underground drainage approved before development started.
282-8452
Most of it has failed. I am of the opinion of John Moen, Superintendent
of Larimer No 2 Irrigating Company. The drainage system has ceased to
Jonathan Feiman
operate. With all the cut and fill that will have to be done on the
482-4672
hillside, on the southern edge of the property, the increased drainage
from these irrigation ditches will be phenomenal. There is constant
Jennifer Tallchief
drainage underground, straight through the middle of Care Housing most
222-0100
of the year. This flows again, into the overflow basin. I have had people
Bernice Hinckley
from your department come out to took at it and state it is the private
850-242-9902
property and maintenance of Care Housing, but that it would do no
good to clean it out, as it can't flow anywhere. Thank God the city has
agreed to take on the responsibility of keeping the wetlands flowing.
Property Manager.
This same pond will be overflowing into Sundering Townhomes crawl
Bob Deitrick
spaces almost immediately if the City doesn't. I beg you to come look at
481-1892
this mess. Along with this cut and fill will be more silt to clog the
wetlands. Now that the new PDP shows the ditch will be moved further
to the south, I am in hopes it is moved completely from the easterly
edge of Care Housing to Centre Ave. I believe with the development of
the Grove, and their new drainage system, will come an enormous
amount of work and money for the city to maintain and an enormous
amount of problems for The Sundering Townhomes,
Sincerely,
Janet C. HascaU

Hi Janet,
It appears you had attempted to send an email to Glen Schlueter in the City's Stormwater
Department and copy additional City staff. The email message didn't appear to have any
content in the message, other than The Grove being the subject.
Glen's email address had his last name misspelled, and as a result your email didn't reach
him. You also listed Erica Saunders, she's no longer working for the City, although her
successor, Lindsay Ex was successfully copied to your original email. "nhaas@fcgov.com"
isn't a valid City email address, I believe you were intending to email Nick Haws as well?
Nick, is the consulting engineer for the developer of The Grove. His email address is
nick@northernengineering.com
You may want to "Reply to All" in this message, with any thoughts or concerns, which will
then ensure that Glen receives the email, along with myself and Lindsay. If you were
intending to include Nick Haws as well, feel free to add his email as identified
previously.
