HomeMy WebLinkAboutREMINGTON ROW (ANNEX) - PDP - PDP110017 - REPORTS - CORRESPONDENCE-HEARING (14)Parking is already in short supply in that location and the Parking space in front of my Property is virtually
never available because the next door neighbors park there. Also with the numerous restaurants within a
block, patrons and employees fill up all vacant parking spaces. M/ daughters own a duplex on E-. Laurel
across from Centennial riigk 5ckool, only a t I/2 blocks from the Remington Row plan. Again, the
school only provides parking for the staff so many students drive and park on the blocks surrounding the
school competing with home owners.
Recently we received updates about a Port Collins Parking Plan. As I understand the proposed plan,
homeowners will need or be able to get a "permit' to park in front of their home. This due to the shortage of
on -street parking for employees and customers of the various businesses in this downtown area.
Why would you want to add to the existing on -street parking problems by allowing less parking than is
realistically needed. I can understand the Remington Row owners wanting a many bedrooms on their
property to make it financially profitable. That is not our problem and they should have realized what was
required when they purchased the properties.
Please deny the Plan as proposed so adequate parking can be provided. Also, please pass this letter on
the Planning and Zoning Board.
Thank you,
Paige and Paula Lunberry

Dear Courtney,
We are strongly opposed to this project Lased upon the limited parking planned. 28 6edrooms should have
a minimum of 28 parking places. We own an extra -occupancy duplex approximately a 100 yards away on
Remington. We were required to have 1 parking place per bedroom. As a landlord in Fort Collins for45
years, it's extremely rare For a tenant not to own a car.
