Subject: 516 Deines Ct. proposal to change # of occupants
Hi Mr. Olt,
I live 2 houses from 516 Deines Ct. and I feel very strongly that the proposed change in the number of
occupants in a rental from 3 to 5 will negatively affect my property value. The whole reason I
purchased a house on a cul-de-sac was for a quiet place where children could be safe and traffic noise
would be low. I think the fact that an individual who does not live in the neighborhood is seeking an
exception to the city ordinance that since the 1960's has limited a home's occupancy to a family or no
more than 3-unrelated persons is evidence that this proposal is an attempt to extract the maximum
amount of money from a property with total disregard of the neighborhood's charm and harmony, and is
clearly in defiance of an ordinance put in place to keep Fort Collins wonderful and livable. Replacing
a yard with a parking lot in a neighborhood full of family homes with well maintained yards will be a
sickening blight and will be detrimental to everyone except the landlord who cares more about his/her
wallet than about the residents that will be affected by this. Please consider the negative affects this
proposal will have on my neighborhood when making your decision. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Luke Brandy
528 Deines Ct.
