Project Name: T-Mobile Wireless Telecommunications Facility / DN03637F Animal House
Project Address: 1108 W Vine Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80521
County parcel No.: 97034-00-013
Zoning Designation: Limited Commercial
Zoning Process: Development Review Wireless Telecommunications Facility
Proiect Description:
T-Mobile proposes to install a 70-foot slick pole and ground equipment at the above -referenced
location. The telecommunications facility will be located in the northwest corner of the property.
The antennas will be installed inside of the pole, not visible from grade level. The equipment
enclosure will be surrounded by a complimentary enclosure, constructed of similar materials
already in place that will have the effect of screening equipment inside. The antenna facility will
accommodate a 2nd carrier. This facility will be unmanned, requiring infrequent tech
maintenance, once or twice each month of operation.
Project Justification:
To enhance current wireless service in the area of 1108 W Vine Drive. The demand for reliable,
in -home cellular service continues as the use of land lines decreases. Demand for seamless
connectivity service -to -service area is driving the need to increase call capacity. Emergency 911
calls have increased steadily as more area is tied into 911 emergency services. Federal and local
governments demand that wireless networks continue to expand so that calls for emergency help
can be located geographically then responded too as necessary.
T-Mobile has identified the area surrounding 1108 W Vine Drive as an area where dropped calls
and poor call quality are disrupting customer service. A new facility at this location will ensure
more reliable call quality as well as proper hand-off connectivity from wireless site to wireless
site.
FCC Regulations:
T-Mobile facilities strictly comply with FCC requirements for cumulative field measurements of
radio frequency power densities and electromagnetic fields.
