Project Description:
The proposed development will include 5, residential scaled buildings with a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom student
rental apartments plus off-street parking for the proposed community. Each buildings orientation to the street,
massing and design character is envisioned to resemble and complement the existing neighborhood context. The
inclusion of defined, outdoor, common gathering areas plus front and rear porches on each building are intended
to encourage informal, spontaneous interactions that will reinforce the developments overall sense of
community.
Drainage Narrative:
A new storm sewer connection will be made into the back of the inlet box at the southwest corner of Shields and
Springfield to bring drainage depth into the site. On -site stormwater quantity detention and quality mitigation
will be provided by a combination of bio-swales with dikes, parking lot detention, and bio-retention integrated
with the landscape design. Permeable pavers or other porous hardscapes are also a possibility.
