HomeMy WebLinkAbout516 DEINES COURT, EXTRA OCCUPANCY RENTAL HOUSE - PDP - PDP120005 - REPORTS - CORRESPONDENCE-HEARING (36)Page 1 of 1 Steve Olt From: Francesca Ogden [facalabria@yahoo.coml Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 7:14 PM To: Steve Olt Subject: 516 Deines Ct. Greetings Mr. Olt, I am writing again to express my concern and objection to the current development proposal for 516 Deines Ct. I strongly believe a housing development with 4 or 5 unrelated people poses a significant safety risk to children and adults on the culdesac. I can't imagine the traffic increase this will likely create in the area. Frankly, with 5 unrelated people in a home, you can bank on an additional 3 to 5 cars at the home on a regular basis for boyfriends or girlfriends of the people that live in the home. The Deines Court culdesac is not the same size as a "normal" culdesac and cannot safely accommodate this increase in traffic. Also, it will have a negative impact on the harmony and character of the neighborhood. I am begging that this project not be approved. Although the now owner Debra Cook sent all of us letters stating she would prefer to rent to a family, 6 college females were cited outside of the home the other day and appeared to be looking at the residence as a prospect for their new home. I want to assure you, this is not a case of "not in my backyard." There are rentals in the neighborhood and one on the culdesac, but there are only 1 to 3 people living in the homes. I also believe this development will result in lowered property values on the culdesac and increased difficulty in selling our own homes. Please consider disapproving Ms. Cook's proposal. The neighborhood will be forever grateful. Thank you, Francesca O'Brien 3/22/2012 27
