chase. Please contact him if you have any questions and include him in the email routing with the
updated plan sets. Thanks.
The location of the chase appears to be right off of the trunk of a 13 inch diameter green ash located
in the parkway. The proposed location could damage some of the flare roots of the tree. If the
excavation is about a foot deep, then I recommend that the edge of the excavation be kept at least
7-8 feet away from the outer bark of the tree to protect the root system.

No, it won't I'm afraid. You are going to have to reroute the stormline, install cleanouts at the bends and change
the street cut limits. The current location of the chase also conflicts with note 10 on sheet C2 and now that we
know you will have to change the location of the chase, you must change the plans.
Here are the rest of the comments from the last round. Please send another round (informal) to Wes in
stormwater, Jeff in Tech Services (his comments to follow early next week) and myself.
1. The asphalt patch shown on the plan and profile sheets needs to be shown on the rest of the sheets to
match.
2. C1 — Correct note 10 to read as shown on sheet C2, note 6.
3. C3 — Outfall FG=??? Needs to be corrected where the stormline meets the chase.
4. C4 — Note 5. Change the word "any" to "the ultimate" in the last sentence. The way this is written now
would say they are not responsible for the interim patch offsite and it needs to be changed.
5. C5 — Note 5 needs to be changed as stated above.
6. C5 — remove the words "preliminary not for construction"
Jeff in Tech Services will have his comments early next week. Hope you're all having a nice Thanksgiving
weekend!

Tim,
Do you think the note on the latest Landscape Plan adequately covers this?
