On Wednesday, October 26, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the Great Hall at
Liberty Commons High School, 2745 Minnesota Drive, Fort Collins, Colorado,
Liberty Commons Charter School will conduct a neighborhood information
meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The project is
known as Liberty Commons High School Expansion at 2745 Minnesota
Drive.
As proposed, the expansion will include a two-story addition consisting of an
engineering lab and new classrooms. A new gymnasium is also proposed. The
expansion would take place over two phases. The square footage of the
proposed building expansion is 28,838 square feet.
The existing building is 26,333 square feet. With the proposed expansion, the
total building size would be 55,171 square feet.
Facility expansion includes a new parking lot and athletic field. The existing
bicycle / pedestrian path is proposed to be re -aligned. The site is bordered by
Minnesota Drive, Custer Drive, Kansas Drive and Limon Drive. (Please see
vicinity map on reverse.)
When submitted to the City of Fort Collins, the project will be processed as a Site
Plan Advisory Review in accordance with State statutes which establish the
review process for public schools. The Site Plan Advisory Review includes future
consideration by the City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board. Please note
that the public hearing with the Planning and Zoning has not been scheduled yet.
