Property Use
• Cooper Home Program provides transition services to approximately 15-22
students each school year. The facility is used Monday — Friday from
approximately 7:45am to 3:OOpm. (times may vary slightly due to
transportation availability).
• Because the program is community based, the students are not on site for the
full school day, but rather learning how to use public transportation, or
transported to internships, community activities and jobs in the white school
bus.
• Students attend generally 2.5 days per week— this result is 10 students or
fewer arriving at Cooper Home Tuesday - Friday. On Monday's all of the
students will attend.
• 4 Staff. Special Education teacher, (2) Para Educators and (1) Employment
Specialist.
• The PSD provides indoor janitorial services, and outdoor landscaping
services as well as snow removal.
• Vehicle traffic — Students arrive in the AM on PSD school busses (generally 4
busses) Students also depart in the afternoon by PSD school busses(4
vehicles)
• The 4 staff members each have a personal vehicle. The 217 E Swallow
address can accommodate 5-6 vehicles in off-street parking.
• The program runs on the same calendar as the school district. If students
qualify for services over the summer, the building will be in use from the end
of August through the end of June. When school is not in session, the district
