Letter 412 Whitcomb.pdf

Hi Jason,
Chris was feeling somewhat uncertain because of those individuals from outside the neighborhood sending
negative letters about the project at 412 North Whitcomb so she asked if I would write a letter of support. I
used to live in Old Town at 237 West Street and still own rental property in the area. If you feel this is a
conflict of interest feel free to not include my letter. However, even if I had not worked on the drawings I
would be in favor of the project.
Thanks,
John Litschert

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter in support of the Maldonado Subdivision proposal for 412 North Whitcomb
Street.
I am a friend of Chris Maldonado and have personally witnessed the enormous amount of effort that
she has put forth in the development of this proposal. As a long-time member of this Old Town
community, she has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to maintaining the quality and feel of
her neighborhood. Her selection of Dennis Sovick (a well -respected builder with ties to the area) and
her insistence that the style and size of the proposed house be compatible with the neighborhood are
clear evidence of this. She has made every conceivable effort to reach out to the members of her
community to make sure that everyone's concerns are addressed, even going so far as to hold a non -
required Neighborhood Meeting.
I strongly recommend granting this requested modification.
Sincerely,
Jim Finnell (a resident of Fort Collins since 1998)

412 North Whitcomb Proposed Lot Split
Categories: Print
Hi Jason,
Jeff Hendershot here (Helen's husband). I (we) live at 521 Sycamore St., around the corner
from 412 North Whitcomb.
I am writing this email to express my SUPPORT for the idea of allowing a variance so that the
lot at 412 North Whitcomb can be split, allowing another home to be built on that site. In my
opinion this kind of development, which would likely result in a new home of reasonable size
and appearance, is good for our neighborhood. I don't see anything bad about this at all.
This block already has many lots less than 5000 sq. feet, including our immediate neighbors
to the east and west, and this is not a problem for anyone. A home on that site, provided it's
of reasonable size, would fill in a spot on the block front where it currently looks as though a
house should have been built but is missing.
I wasn't able to attend the hearing this past Monday, but please add my name to the list of
immediate neighbors who are in favor of allowing this variance.
Thank you,
Jeff.
