Whitcomb St.) request to the City to sub- divide her property to allow for the development of an adjacent residential home. To the extent I understand the growing interest in appropriate infill development (which I generally support) in our neighborhood and the City's need to regulate this trend, I believe Chris' application meets, or exceeds, all criteria for appropriate infill, including development in keeping with the feel and character of our neighborhood and the City's commitment to promoting infill as opposed to sprawl. I have known Chris as a friend and neighbor of at least seventeen years. I have lived in the Martinez Neighborhood for more than twenty- two years. In the meantime, I have come to love this special neighborhood, its surrounding City, and have a tremendous respect for our City's Government. Given this background, I trust that between Chris, the City, and our neighbors the most appropriate decision in this matter will be to allow Chris to sub -divide and develop her property in strict accordance with our neighbors' wishes and the City's requirements.
