May 16, 2005
Dear Resident or Property Owner
On Thursday, May 26, 2005 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in Room 202 of the Timberline Church,
2908 Timberline Road, Fort Collins, Colorado, the Current Planning Department of the City of
Fort Collins will conduct a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in
your neighborhood. (To find Room 202, enter through the east stair tower and take the stairs to the
second floor). The project is referred to as New Police Services Building at Spring Creek Farm.
As proposed, the project is a request to construct a new Police Services building on 7.5 acres of
Spring Creek Farms North, at the southwest corner of Timberline Road and the future Nancy Gray
Drive (extended), north of Drake Road. The proposed building would be three -stories in height.
There would be approximately 31,000 square feet per floor for a total of 93,000 square feet.
The site is divided by the building. On the north side of the building, there would be the public
entrance, entry plaza, community meting room and approximately 100 parking spaces. On the
south side of the building, there would be secured parking for approximately 230 vehicles and a
separate employee entrance. The stormwater detention pond is on the south side of the site along
the future extension of Iowa Drive. A small pocket park is located on the western edge of the site.
This building would replace the existing Police Services Building on LaPorte Avenue next to City
Hall.
The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and
record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been
missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have
the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call our office at 970-221-6750.
Sincerely,
Ted Shepard, AICP
Chief Planner
