Dear Pete,
R,cCFI V,
CURRENT PANNING
I would like to request an interpretation of the standards set forth in Section 3.5.2(C) — Relationship of Dwellings to
Streets and Parking of the Land Use Code (LUC). Specifically, I am requesting interpretation of the phrase "facing
any adjacent street" contained within Section 3.5.2(Cx2) Street -Facing Facades of the LUC.
1 am providing the Water's Edge 24"06" site plan as part of this request. The two buildings in question are circled
in red on the site plan. The question is whether the street located directly west of the two buildings is considered
adjacent to these buildings. The building entries are located on the west side of these buildings, meeting the
requirement of at least one doorway facing the street. / I p; K •
Steve Olt and 1 reviewed the LUC and did not find a definition for the term "adjacent". In this case, acttiivve open
space separates the two buildings from the street. This interpretation is important to the proposed site plan, since.
Section 3.5.2(C)(2) requires the four unit building to have at least one doorway facing any adjacent street. IbeGeve
the proposed site plan meets the intent of the standard.
I look forward to your interpretation. I _Q (-}- ePS •.G( ,1 "
