Re: Registry Ridge Tract C Replatting Proposal
The Registry Ridge HOA Board would like to express its appreciation to the City of Fort Collins Planning
department, Parks department and to Lennar Builders with regard to the replatting of Tract C in our
neighborhood.
We are pleased with the changes that have resulted from the city -sponsored process of involving the
local residents, and Lennar's willingness to hear our concerns and strive to address them.
Specifically, we want to acknowledge the City's defined process for ensuring the neighborhood is made
aware of the plans early in their development. The fact that the planning department takes on the role of
scheduling and leading an evening meeting in the neighborhood is very valuable.
We would also like to acknowledge the City Park department's willingness to hear the neighborhood's
input and find ways to participate in an effort to make the final result something that enhances the value
of our community. In our case, it was the Parks department's support of the proposal to increase the size
of our local park land from 5 to more than 6 acres.
And we want to publicly express our appreciation to Lennar Builders for sharing their plans early and
being open to our input. The final plan that has been submitted addressed several key concerns we
raised including the number of homes, the encroachment of homes into the park space and the proximity
of new homes to the existing ones. The final layout has fewer and larger lots, it compliments a park
space 20% larger than originally planned and it adds another greenbelt to maintain a sense of openness
and easy access throughout the neighborhood.
As the Board of Directors for Registry Ridge, we want to offer both our thanks and our support to
everyone involved with this process. We feel the end result is an excellent compromise that balances the
desires of all parties involved.
Respectfully,
Connie Peterson
