Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 Project: Pedersen Auto Plaza REQUEST FOR VARIANCE LOCKWO OD The following variance from City Engineering Standards are requested for the Pedersen Auto Plaza development, located at South Mason Street & Kensington. The variance request and explanation for the request is as follows: A variance is requested to allow a larger turning radii for the entrance drive. A 15 foot radius is standard at most entrance drives, however, Pedersen Auto Plaza will be receiving shipments of new cars loaded on semi tractor -trailer trucks, radii of 20 feet is proposed. The entrance must accommodate the wide turn requirements of these larger trucks for on -site unloading. Off site unloading is not an option on Mason Street. Attached are diagrams showing anticipated tractor -trailer unloading scenarios, which demonstrate the need for wider radii at the entrance drive.
