Responses are numbered to correspond to staff comments. O. The transportation impact study addressee the Burlington Northern Corridor Project (BN0p) on page 28. The BNCp Will be studied in the near future by the City. me Initial aspect will be to determine the scope of the study. According to staff, funding beyond the *coping aspect is not firm at this point in time. When/if this corridor develops as staff anticipates, it will likely proceed from north to south. Implementation could be beyond the year 2015. 15. The potential off -road trail along the 8N tracks will have its terminus at harmony Road, according to city staff. The reasonable walk distance. based upon city criteria, is 1320 feet. The walk distance from this site (roughly the Mason/Hensington intersection) is only 1000 feet to the Harmony Road access to the W tracks. This. p; route is via the existing sidewalk system and --the existing bike lane system. By definition, there is = reasonable &cases to the DR corridor without cutting through privstW Red, 3 2r . Extension of Kensington to the west of Mason street was O 2! fully investigated and found not to be practical. The following is a response to a. Hamhoff's oommoat t6 of her comment sheet. f. The lI corridor will begia/ead at harmony Road. The dy terminus is 100o feet from the Mason/Hensington intersection via the existing sidewalk sad bike laze system• Mason Street has both sidewalks and bike lanes. It seems more practical to make connections to the BU corridor via established public connections at Harmczy, Road and Troutman Parkway, where these connections 0"% all other City criteria.
