Dear Ted,
CARE Housing at Windtrail, CARE Housing's latest project under current planning
review, is composed of 46 townhouse- style (side -by -side) units along with a community
building including laundry facilities, meeting space, of im and ldd's play area.
This Community Building is currently designed as a 1,396 s.f. facility. At a cost of
approximately $80/sf, the total building cost is approximately $111,680, As well, CARE
Housing is budgeting approximately $5,500 for playground equipment at the areas shown
on the site plan

Windtrail Park

Windtrail Park is a 50-unit rental townhouse project on Windtrail Street, east of Sheilds street
near Rolland Moore Park. Its developer is CARE Housing, Inc., a local not -for -profit
corporation. All of Windtrail's units will have rents that are affordable to low- and very low-
income households (earning no more than 60% of the Area Median Income). Therefore it
qualifies for maximum credit on the Residential Uses Point chart as an affordable housing project.
