Also, since the lot size is adjusting, the raw water allotment assigned to each lot will change.
For this, the developer will need to contact ELCO's office manager, to determine the revised
allotment.

Courtney,
Regarding the subject review,
ELCO has four water services in place for the existing lots, and also a fire hydrant on the
inside lot line.
ELCO has no issue with the replat, however, before any construction activity begins, a utility
plan will be necessary to determine the proposed location of the driveway and utilities (and trees, if
required), as the meter pits and fire hydrant may need relocation.
Meter pits and services shall be located in the median area,. Under a driveway or tree is not
acceptable as a failure may require removal. One water service will have to be removed completely.
Fire hydrants shall be located a safe distance from driveways, to eliminate vehicular

Courtney,
I just called ELCO. Darwin was out but I did talk to Mike Shied, the manager. We had a discussion
about the issues raised in Darwins comments and I believe we are in agreement that a water service
needs to be capped and that the fire hydrant is probably going to be OK in the new re platted
location. Mike will want to see the actual plat to verify this, but our projected house plan will likely
place the hydrant about 8' from the driveway and certainly no nearer than 6'.
Mike informed me that Darwin is planning on attending the meeting in the morning so can address
comments first hand and comments can be made a matter of record at that time.
The excess water will be dealt with between the Seller and ELCO.
Thanks,
Steve O'Neal

Hi Steve,
Could you please e-mail me a summary of the conclusion with ELCO and also CC Darwin on
that e-mail. I need it for the file.
Thanks!
