RE: #26-97A Pedersen Auto Plaza
This letter is to provide input relating to my concerns relating to the proposed expansion. I live in the rragstorie
Patio Homes addition adjacent to the subject commercial development. The initial project is satisfactory from a
neighbor viewpoint.
Increased development raises some additional concerns. We are always concerned about appearance because we
have to look at the building. Pedersen has planted some trees at the rear of the development which I like.
I do not like the fact that they already are over- stuffing the existing parking lot with vehicles. This is not a pleasant
sight and somewhat junky to look at.
I am also concerned about any loudspeaker system which can be an irritant to the residents as most that live here
are Senior citizens and do not work. I would appreciate it if they could operate without a exterior loudspeaker
system. Another irritant posed by this development is their security alarms on their auto's during the night-time
hours. Sometimes they take hours( or so it seems) before they are silenced. I'm certain that all of the residents
would appreciate if something could be done to stem this noisy irritant..
Maintenance of the area which we look at is also a concern. I doubt that there is any supervision by the city, which
means we are subject to the whims of Pedersen which is mostly geared toward the sale of cars.
UBC Lumber Co. presents us with some unsightly views. We do not need more of this from Pedersen.
Supervision by the City would help keep these commercial developments tidy.
I am choosing this method for input as I will not be able to attertid your meeting on September 17th.
I would also appreciate it if you would forward these comments to Pedersen Auto Plaza.
I expect them to be a good neighbor.
