Where the minimum standards are either inappropriate or cannot be met, a variance to the standards shall be considered and must be approved. The process to request a variance is for the applicant's Engineer to prepare and submit a written request for approval. The request should list each proposed nonstandard item and include statements for each item providing the following information: * The variance requested and how it differs from the standard. * The standard, referencing the section and page in the book. * Why the standard cannot be met? * What problems are created by the varied design? * Are public health, safety, and/or welfare problems created and how are they addressed to correct them? The request shall be signed and sealed by a Licensed Professional Engineer certifying the varied design. . The City Engineer's variance approval must be endorsed at Preliminary or Final development project approval by the Planning and Zoning Board. What will these weir look like - they are concrete structures, how wide are they? • Some of the berms shown here are not indicated on the grading plan in the utility set. • The light poles (for the site) as shown on the site plan should also be shown on the landscape plan to make sure there is not a conflict with the landscaping. Plat • What is the reception number (to the south of the site) for? An easement? Property to the south? Please indicate what it is for. • The easement for the BNRR connection needs to be 12 feet in width. • An access easement is needed across the site to provide for potential access to the small parcel at the southwest corner of the site.
