HomeMy WebLinkAboutFRONT RANGE REZONING & STRUCTURE PLAN AMEND. - 3-00 - CORRESPONDENCE - TRAFFIC STUDY (3)Steve Olt -Collector Street connection cp Trilby Wd. west of College Ave Page From, Cameron Gloss To: Eric Bracke Date: Tue, Jul 3, 2001 9:59 AM Subject: Collector Street connection on Trilby Rd. west of College Ave Eric: We need your assistance in determining the feasibility of a collector street (running parallel to College Ave) accessing the Timan Property which is located between Trilby Rd. and Skyway Dr. The developer is proposing a neighborhood commercial center, anchored by large grocery store, on the northwest corner of Trilby and College. Kathleen Reavis told me this morning that you've spent some time already looking at the new intersection location so I'm hoping that this won't take up too much of your time. -What is the minimum separation distance between College and the new collector street along Trilby given the high volumes entering/exiting the site? -To what extent does the hill along Trilby Road cause site distance problems? Is regrading of the roadway, removing some of the vertical curb, an option? -Would you anticipate a single- or double -turn lane westbound onto the collector? -Other than cost, do you see any issues with the large grade difference between existing Trilby Rd and the site? Thanks, Eric. We appreciate your help on this. Cameron Gloss CC: Gregory Byrne; Steve Olt
