- RE: Letter of Intent to install a 40' Teleconummication Facilih
Dear Shelbv, .
This letter is to sense as notice that T-Mobile is submitting a Development Review Application for the
` installation of a Stealth Telecommrmication Facility' near the intersection of Taft Hill and Elizabeth behind
the King Soopers shopping center (Cedanvood Plaza). The proposed siructure«-ill reseinble existing light -
poles inn tine surrounding area. -The visual,inpact will be minimal due to tine stealth light pole design. The,
required radio/electrical equipment will be located near the base of the pole'on a 10' s 24' concrete slab
and enclosed within a cedar fence. T-Mobile is seeking a conmuunication site in this area to serve the
traveling public along Taft Hill & Elizabeth as well as the surroimding residential/commercial properties.
The proposed facilit} was reviewed before the Prelimman Design Review.Team on October 30, 2006.
Siting. Practices:
In siting' a new installation. a wireless communications provider requires a location that is technically
compatible with the established network. A general area is identified based upon; engineering constraints
and the'desired area of sen-ice. Specific locations withiin that general area will be evaluated using the
following criteria (not necessarih in order of priori[} ): topographN ; availabilitV of road access: electrical
poser. land based -telephone lines: leasable lauds: availability of suitable existing structure -for anterma
mounting: opportuniities to mitigate possible - isual impact: screening potential of existing vegetation,.
structure and topographic features: zoning that will allow a wireless communication installation:
compatibility with adjacent land uses.. lease mumber.of sitesto cover the desired area -'arid the greatest
amount of coverage potential.
