Subject: Leadership Team Followup
The following are follow up items from today's Leadership Team (Mayor; Mayor Pro Tem; City Manager;
City Attorney; Assistant City Manager; City Clerk; Deputy City Manager).
January 8 Worksession
1. Newsracks (Kelly D)--
> please send an email to Darin reiterating that the DDA, DBA, and the City do not intend to pay for the
cost of the corrals.
> in the staff presentation include some photos that show the clutter of the current newsracks (the photo
of the racks in front of the former Stone Lion building), a corral, and a condominium.
> describe the why its impractical to try for a year and re-evaluate (e.g., it's a sizable investment for the
condos).
January 15 Agenda
1. Item #15 (Cameron Gloss) --what is PVH doing to minimize the impact of its proposed (and approved)
development on the neighborhood?
2. #17/#18 Annexation Proceedings (Steve Olt) --please include in the first part of the AIS a bottom line
statement that expresses to Council: does the proposed annexation meet all of the criteria and is a
routine application; or, if there are any issues, grey areas, or potential controversies, please provide that
information.
Other Items
1. Parks and Rec Master Plan Update (Marty Heffernan) --for the April 8 Work session, please include
information in the Agenda materials from other Colorado cities and other comparable cities to Fort Collins
(e.g., Eugene, etc.) that describes their standards and criteria for locating and building neighborhood and
community parks. The idea is to compile data/information from about 10 other cities as to their policies
and standards for the number and size of providing neighborhood and community parks in their
communities.
2. Railroad Report (Wendy Williams) --there was a request to move the Railroad Report from March 11
to January 22 (we have a slot open on the WS agenda).
3. Monthly Financial Report (Mike Freeman/Chuck Seest)--please be sure to identify near the date of
the report the month for which sales are being reported, e.g., the November 2007 report is based on
October reported sales.
4. City Manager's Report (Sarah Kane) --state that the numbers are "totals to date" or totals through
"November 2007" (which would be a date certain).
That's it for today...thanks,
Diane
