Matt with Galloway has been notified by email.

Randy,
No problem. I will wait for your OK. When did you last contact Galloway about still needing the letter of
intent?

Thank you Steve, I hate to be the "hold out" but I don't think it will be appropriate to schedule a hearing
until they provide us with a letter of intent for the off -site access & temp. construction easement. This
access point to the King Soopers parking lot area from the fuel station is critical to the design and
circulation of traffic.
I talked with Wes this morning and I am fairly confident that he is OK with going to a hearing as well
although the whole water quality in the parkway idea will hopefully change with final compliance review.

Randy,
Regarding the scheduling of an administrative public hearing for the King Soopers Fueling Station, I have
gotten verbal OK from Rob Irish (Light & Power), an e-mail OK from Roger Buffington (Water &
Wastewater), and a hand written note OK from Carie Dann (PFA).

I have done a cursory review of the plans and I will provide you with some redline comments. Although
the plans are technically "ready for a hearing" I still have not recieved a L.O.I. for the off -site temporary
construction/access easement needed where the fueling station connects to the existing King Soopers
parking lot. Without this L.O.I. this project cannot be scheduled for a public hearing.
I will drop off my redlines now. I have not seen any response yet from Wes or any other departments.
Thanks, Randy

Jeff,
I discussed the variance process and required application materials with Mathew Duquesne (sp?) of
Galloway and Associates. He will be meeting with me on the 29th to make formal application to ZBA for
the sign variance. The variance hearing will be August 14th. The sign will not be located in the ROW.

Hi Mike and Erin. I have talked with Mike Schekel this week from King Soopers Right of way department
(303-778-3766). He was requesting that they be allowed to put a permanent sign in the city of right of way
which they donated to the City for future widening of Taft and Elizabeth. In reviewing this with Cameron
and Peter, we can not by code allow private signs be place in our right of way. We can though work with
them on some potential variances they may get as to how the sign can be placed within their property.
For instance, a variance may be possible on the setback distance for the sign location from the edge of
their property. This could help their sign get closer to the street to meet their advertising needs. I
explained to Mike that he should work the development of the variance proposal(s) with Peter and such
requests have to go to the Zoning Board of Appeals. If the materials can be put together quickly, it could
maybe heard at their August meeting. Mike was appreciative of this approach. I finished up by saying for
him to keep me informed on progress.
Peter, heads up you should be getting calls pretty quick. Besides helping them with the request, could you
make sure they understand when the materials have to be completed for ZBA please? Thanks.
Jeff
