[11/21/08] The City would like a more manicured grass in the parkway where the water
quality treatment is being proposed. Irrigation would be allowed even though this is a water
quality treatment area. Sod can not be used due to the clay soils that sod is farmed in,
however a blue grass, fescue, or similar type grass seed mix can be used.

[ 12/2/08] Contact John Nelson (970-221-6677) regarding backflow requirements. If it is a
reduced pressure principle device, it must be installed above ground rather than in a pit.
[5/19/08] Back flow preventer must be upstream of frost -proof yard hydrant. Will the
backflow preventer be in a pit (separate from water meter pit)? If yes, show pit on the utility
plan? If no, how will the water service and backflow preventer be winterized?
[4/1/08] .Frost free yard hydrants not allowed unless proper backflow prevention is provided.
Contact John Nelson (221-6677) for information regarding notes and details to be included
on utility plans.
Randy Maizland should be contacted (970-221-6605) to determine if another formal round of
review and staff review is needed. Be sure and return all red -lined plans if / when you re-
submit.

[11/26/08] Please show all proposed asphalt cuts as perpendicular intersecting lines. Radius
cuts are not likely to happen.

[11/26/08] Please remove note 28 from the access ramps shown on the driveways. The
ramps will be constructed per the driveway detail 707 and not 1606 or 1607 which are to be
used at the street corner only. The driveway ramps should utilize the curb option rather than
a flare option on the back side. See red -lines for clarification. Show curb rather than flare on
the plans.

[11/26/08] The driveways are called out with 20 foot radius but it is not drawn correctly on
the plans. Please show the driveway radius correctly at 20 feet continuous from back of
sidewalk to flow line. See Detail 707 and red -lines for clarification.

corner. Groove lines should not be tooled into the ramp as this is no longer the standard.
Only truncated domes are necessary per the LCUASS detail.

street section on Taft Hill should be extended in at right angles on both ends for at least 3
