Subject: Re: Fwd: Liberty Farms round about design
After some discussion with Pete Wray on the revisions to the sub -area plan, he believed the street will be
down graded and the northbound leg will not cross the ditch. He was comfortable if I chose to down grade
to roundabout as well. When I say down grade I mean it can be a large size Mini-Rbt design that does not
require all the engineering.
I wanted Kathleens take on Pete's sense of the possible revisions and she's not so sure of the road not
crossing the ditch. She does have some comfort that the road does not need to be an arterial, but she
does not want to move to fast without some further discussion.
Either way the development is maintaining their arterial roadway width and the Rbt width is still arterial
sized. At this point I'm ok with it going to P&Z as the space is still available no matter the outcome. The
design aspects can be done after the hearing, whether by Jade (as a mini-Rbt) or by another as a full Rbt.
Ward.

Hi Ward,
Sounds like your meeting on the Liberty Farms roundabout went OK and they can proceed to hearing. My
main two questions going into final plan review will be:
1. Are you OK with Jade Miller doing the design work ? LCUASS Appendix I requirements call for
someone with experience designing at least 4 ? multilane modern roundabouts.
2. Does this roundabout need to be designed per LCUASS Appendix I standards without any variances ?
Thanks, Randy
