Brigitte: Here are my few questions/comments for the 4/10/09 P&Z worksession.
Item #3 - N. College Marketplace
1. With regards to the parking centerline to centerline modification
from 66' to 64': Could the applicant indicate what these widths are at
the current King Soopers Stores; find a location within Fort Collins
(or as near to FC as possible) where the width is 64% and if Denver
and Westminster are cited for lower widths I would like to see a
letter from both planning and transportation staff that indicates they
are satisfied with their standards.
2. With regards to Modification 2: would there be any requirement as
to where the actual access into the building is located? This is of
concern especially for Pad 1 because Pedestrians from the sidewalk
adjacent to College Avenue may find that it would be the shortest
route into the building to cross the drive-thru lane rather than going
south of the building along the proposed route and then doubling back
if the door to Pad 1 building is located too far to the north.
Item #4 - Whitman Storage Facility -
1. Does this proposal include any berm along the south and east sides?
Are there going to be trees, the south elevation only depicts the
solid fence?
Brigitte, if the applicant for N. College provides examples of parking
lots locally with the reduced width, could we get this location before
the P&Z meeting?
