Dear Steve.
This letter is to serve as notice that T-Mobile is submitting a Development Review Application for the _
installation of a Stealth Telecommunication Facility near the intersection,of Taft Hill and Valle},Forge
Ave.: north of the Safeway shopping center. The proposed stricture will rresemble the existing flag poles .
in the, surrounding area The visualimpact will be minimal due to the stealth flag pole design. The required
radio/electrical equipment will be located near the base of the pole on a 13' x 24' concrete slab'and
enclosed within a cedar fence. T-Mobile is seeking a communication site in this area to serve the traveling
public along Taft Hill & Drake Rd. as well as the surrounding residential/commiercial properties: The .
proposed facility was reviewed before the Conceptual Design Review.Team on January 5'1
."2009.
Siting Practices:
In siting a" new installation, a wireless communications provider requires a location that is teclmicall}
compatible with the established network.: A general' area is identified based upon engineering constraints
and the desired area of service. Specific locations within that general area will be evaluated using the
following criteria (not necessarily in order of priority): topography; availability of road access. electrimi:
: power. land based telephone lines: leasable lairds: availability of suitable existing structure for antenna
moumtmg: opportunities to mitigate possible visual impact:, screening potential of existing vegetation.
structure and topographic features; zoning that will allo-%v a wireless communication installation: .
compatibility with adjacent land uses; lease number of sites to cover the desired area. and the greatest
amount of coverage potential.
