I really appreciate your looking into this. I will reply to Ms. Rice that the City is following up and will work with the contractor, and if she still has concerns after a few days, to follow up with either Dan or DA (after I speak to Dan). I will be out of the office on vacation from later this afternoon through 9/16. Again, thank you so much for looking into this! Lucinda >>> <Cynthiarice3@aol.com> 9/10/2009 6:02 PM >>> To Whom it May Concern: I would like to bring to your attention a recent problem at the new King Sooper construction site located at Willox and North College. The machinery at this new site is creating a huge pollution and health problem from the digging. There are large dust clouds that start first thing in the morning until at least 6:00 PM. I've heard from several sources, there should be an onsite water truck to stop some of the horrendous dust problems. In my opinion, this creates not only a terrible air quality issue, but health issues for individuals with respiratory conditions, such as asthma. Since I live right across from the site on Spaulding Lane, it also is making a mess for the car, porch, inside the house, etc. I have a heart condition, and it is not helping my breathing, either. I would really appreciate a response to this problem at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Cindy Rice 970-691-2360 or email cynthiarice$( aol.com
