Hello Steve,
Thank -you again for holding the informal meeting last night to give the neighborhood and opportunity
to ask questions and learn more about this current proposal.
I wanted to bring up one more issue, that may or may not have been captured last night. While several
of the residents expressed concern over traffic problems, I would like to highlight a specific one.
Currently, taking a left onto College from Triangle can be difficult at times because there is no stop
light. This is particularly true when traffic is heavy on College since one must cross south bound traffic
and merge onto north bound traffic. As I said, there is no stop light at this intersection. Our
understanding is that up to 180 units will be built.. this means that, at minimum, 180 cars. Cars coming
out of the the proposed complex, especially between the rush hours in the morning, trying to take a left
to get on College could cause a backup on Triangle, not to mention the risk of an accident is higher.
One could argue that to avoid the backup on Triangle, simply use Avondale. Please understand though,
that this solution places the bulk of the traffic on Avondale, in front of the school in the morning, during
rush hour.
Sincerely, '
Joe Spinelli
