The physical facilities associated with the Platte River Power Authority
Harm ony-Portner-Boyd Lake 230kV Transmission Line Project are as
follows:
• A double circuit 230kV transmission line
• A conduit system consisting of eight (8) 6" PVC pipes. Six (6) of
the conduits will be left empty as spares
• A trench 4' wide and 5' deep to house the conduit
• Six (6) concrete vaults installed along the transmission line to allow
for cable to be spliced.

Recommendation Item: The Planning and Zoning Board provides a
recommendation to City Council of the following item:

This is a request to annex and zone 1.46 acres located on the north side
of LaPorte Avenue, midway between North Taft Hill Road (to the east)
North Overland Trail (to the west). The property is partially developed as
a Poudre School District parking lot and is in the FA, Farming Zone
in Larimer County. Existing Poudre School District facilities are to the
west and south; and property to the east and north are undeveloped;
however, the Sanctuary West residential development proposal is under
review by the City. The requested zoning for this annexation is LMN, Low
Density Mixed -Use Neighborhood.

ADVISORY REVIEW
South
Within the City of Fort Collins, Platte River Power Authority is proposing to
construct approximately 1.0 mile of a 230kV underground transmission
line. The segment of the line that is the subject of this review is between
the Union Pacific Railroad tracks that cross East Trilby Road east of
Lemay Avenue and the Portner Substation on the north side of East Trilby
Road just west of the City of Fort Collins Transfort facility west of South
Lemay Avenue. The proposed transmission line will be within the Fort
Collins city limits and Growth Management Area. All of this segment of
the transmission line will be parallel to East Trilby Road. It will be in road
right-of-way and on private property. The line will be partially on the south
and north sides of East Trilby Road
