City Council, Initiating Resolution * October 20, 2011 ... Planning & Zoning Board, Recommendation to City Council * November 1, 2011 ... City Council, First Reading * November 15, 2011 ... City Council, Second Reading If approved, the effective date of the annexation will be November 25, 2011. In all cases the hearings begin at 6:00 p.m. in City Council chambers, 300 LaPorte Avenue. However, there is a''/z hour public input period at each hearing and then the "consent" items on the agenda are acted on by motion and vote. It is probable that your it will be on the consent agenda for all hearings. If it remains as such then the annexation and zoning decision would occur very early in the evening. Although it is not absolutely necessary for either of you (or a representative) to attend the hearings it is recommended in case City Council or the Planning & Zoning Board were to have any questions that may be directed to the property owner(s).
