It looked in the southeast corner as if it was separated. If it's still a single structure, it can continue to have
the Shields address.

Carie,
Regarding your comment (below) on the Hellenic Plaza - Major Amendment, this is actually one building.
There is a "bridge" between the two wings of the building, with habitable space on the second and third
floors. This was determined with the approved Project Development Plan and only one address was going
to be required, being from Shields Street. I'm not sure why this appears to be an issue with the Major
Amendment. The building is the same as previously approved, only 7 units at the north end of the ground
floor are being changed from commercial spaces to residential dwelling units.
Steve
(12/16/08] ADDRESSING: Because there are two proposed structures, each building will have its own,
separate, unique address. The south building will have a Birch Street address and the east building will
have a Shields Street address. This is a Fire Code requirement. If you have further questions, contact Tim
Varrone with City GIS, who is assigning a Birch address and a Shields address. ALSO, each building must
put the address numerals and the unit addresses on both the front and back sides of each building (street
side and internal, parking -lot side), since emergency vehicles will be entering from the street and
internally.
