OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPOINTING COUNCILMEMBERS TO SERVE ON AN AD HOC COUNCIL COMMITTEE
TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HOUSING STRATEGIC PLAN
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2020, the City Manager gave a staff report to the City Council
outlining next steps for the City's housing efforts; and
WHEREAS, these steps include creating a Housing Manager position to deliver a Housing
Strategic Plan, and establishing an ad hoc Council committee to support development of that Plan;
and
WHEREAS, because there are many options and considerations in developing a Housing
Strategic Plan requiring review and discussion, City Council desires to appoint Councilmembers
to an ad hoc committee to explore, review, discuss and make recommendations on the content of
the Plan.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby makes and adopts the determinations and
findings contained in the recitals set forth above.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby appoints Councilmembers Ross Cunniff,
Emily Gorgol, Kristin Stephens and Ken Summers to an ad hoc committee to support development
of a Housing Strategic Plan for the City.
Section 3. The foregoing Committee appointments shall extend through April 6, 2021
unless sooner terminated by Council action or vacation of office.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins this 21st
day of July, A.D. 2020.
