OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ADOPTING THE TRANSIT MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the 2019 updates to City Plan, City staff has drafted the
Transit Master Plan to serve as a companion document to City Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Transit Master Plan will serve as.a resource for Council, City staff, the
public, and the development community regarding how transit service should grow and improve
and what transit in the City will look like by 2040; and
WHEREAS, City staff has prepared the Transit Master Plan with the assistance of
consultants and after an extensive public outreach process; and
WHEREAS,. the Planning and Zoning" Board at its February 21, 2019, meeting, the
Transportation Board at its March 20, 2019, meeting, and the Bicycle Advisory Committee at its
February 25, 2019, meeting, all adopted motions recommending that City Council adopt the
Transit Master Plan;
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed City Plan update is in the best
interests of the citizens of the City..
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS:
Section 1. 'Nat the City Council hereby makes any and all determinations and findings
contained in the recitals set forth above.
Section 2. That the Transit Master Plan dated April 10, 2019, a copy of which is on
file in the Office of the City Clerk, is hereby incorporated in and made part of this Resolution by
this reference and adopted.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins this 16th
day of April, A.D. 2019.
