OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS INITIATING
ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
HORSETOOTH ANNFXATION
WHEREAS, heretofore a written petition together with four prints
of an annexation map was filed with the City Clerk requesting the annexa-
tion of certain property more particularly described as situate in the
County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to-wit
PARCEL A A tract of land, situate in the NE 1/4 of Section 35, Township 7
North, Range 69 West of the 6th P M , Larimer County, Colorado, which considering
the East line of said NE 1/4 as bearing S 00029' East and with all bearings con-
tained herein relative thereto, and being more particularly described as follows
a BEGIN at a point which bears N 89049,4011 West, 88 2 feet from the Northeast
corner of said Section 35, and run thence S 00005' E 30 00 feet, thence S
45011' E 70 60 feet along the Westerly right of way line of Colorado State
Highway No 1, thence S 00005' E 1276 90 feet along said Westerly right of way
line, thence N 8905514511 W 882 10 feet to a point on the Easterly right of way
line of the Colorado and Southern Railroad Co , thence N 01004' E 1358 30 feet
along said Easterly right of wav line to a point on the North line of said NE
1/4, thence S 8904914011 E along said North line to the point of beginning, '--
EXCEPTING therefrom the following two parcels
Parcel One Commencing at the Northwest corner of PARCEL A, thence
easterly 300 feet along the North boundary of PARCEL A, thence southerly
parallel with the west boundary of PARCEL A 290 feet, thence westerly parallel to
the north boundary of PARCEL A 300 feet, more or less, to the west boundary of
PARCEL A, thence northerly along the west boundary of PARCEL A 290 feet more or
less to the point of beginning
Parcel Two Commencing at the southeast corner of PARCEL A, thence
westerly 400 feet along the south boundary of PARCEL A, thence northerly parallel
to the east boundary of PARCEL A 200 feet, thence easterly parallel to the south
boundary of PARCEL A 400 feet, more or less, to the east boundary of PARCEL A,
thence southerly along the east boundary of PARCEL A 200 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning
A Tract of land situate in the SE 1/4 of Section 26 , and in the
NE 1/4 of Section 35 , Township 7 Forth, Range 69 Nest of the
6th P M , Larimer County, Colorado , which considering the East
line of the NE 1/4 of said Section 35 as Dearing S 00029 ' E and
with all bearings contained herein relative thereto is contained
within the boundary lines which begin at the SE corner of said
Section 26 , and run thence N 00023120" E 1344 66 feet along the
East line of the SE 1/4 of said Section 26 , thence N 89°49 ' 40" d
47 S9 feet to a point on the Nest right-of-taay line of U S Highway
No 287 , thence S 00°00 ' 40" E 1344 66 feet along said Nest right-
of-way line to a point on the South line of the said SE 1/4 , thence
N 89049 ' 40" IV 554 94 feet along the N line of the NE 1/4 of said
Section 35 , thence S 01004 ' IV 330 00 feet , thence N 89*49140"
W 300 00 feet to a point on the East line of the Colorado and
Southern Railroad , thence S 01*04 ' IV 1028 30 feet , thence S 89°
55 '45" E 929 87 feet to a point on the East line of the NE 1/4
of said Section 35 , thence N 00*29 ' IV 1356 58 feet to the point
of beginning, containing 27 4536 acres more or less
to the City of Fort Collins Colorado and
WHEREAS the City Council desires to initiate annexation pro-
ceedings in accordance with law
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS
Section 1 That the City Council hereby finds and determines
that the annexation petition and accompanying map are in substantial com-
pliance with Section 139 21 6 Colorado Revised Statutes 1963 as amended
Section 2 That July 27 1972 * at the hour of 1 30 P M
or as soon thereafter as the matter may come on for hearing in the Council
Chambers of the City of Fort Collins is hereby set as the date time and
place where the City Council will hold a hearing to determine if the pro-
posed annexation complies with the provisions of Sections 139 21-3 and 4
Colorado Revised Statutes 1963 as amended or such parts thereof as
may be required
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held
this 15th day of June A D 1972

fifth Thursday of the month in which case it should be seven weeks
NOTE Publish once a week for four weeks--first publication at least 30
days before date set Proof of publication to be filed with City Clerk

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Fort
Collins has adopted a resolution initiating annexation proceedings for
the Horsetooth Annexation said annexation
being more particularly described in said resolution a copy of which
precedes this notice
THAT on July 27 1972 at the hour of 1 30 P M or
as soon thereafter as the matter may come on for hearing before the City
Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Fort
Collins at 300 LaPorte Avenue Fort Collins Colorado the City Council
will hold a hearingupon the annexation petition for the purpose of deter
mining and finding whether the property proposed to be annexed meets the
applicable requirements of Colorado law and is considered eligible for
annexation At such hearing any person living within the area proposed
to be annexed and any landowner of lands therein and any resident of _
the City of Fort Collins and all other interest persons may appear and a
present such evidence as they may desire

Publish this notice together with the resolution once a week
for four (4) weeks the first publication at least thirty (30) days prior
to the date set for hearing
