OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH SIMONS, LI AND ASSOCIATES
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE PREPARATION
OF THE FOSSIL CREEK MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the Fossil Creek Basin is a natural watershed traversing the
southern portion of the City in an easterly direction from Horsetooth
Reservoir to the Cache la Poudre River, and
WHEREAS, said basin is the last remaining major watershed in the
urban growth area for which a master plan has yet to be completed, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins hereby determines to
corimission the preparation of a master plan for the Fossil Creek Basin
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Simons, Li and Associates for professional services
for the preparation of the Fossil Creek Master Plan, said contract to
include terms and conditions set forth as follows Simons, Li and Asso-
ciates shall prepare the Fossil Creek Master Plan, which plan shall 1 )
analyze basin conditions and address existing and future flooding problems,
2) formulate alternative plans or improvements through cost-benefit
analyses where appropriate, and 3) establish cost estimates for the final
recommended plan In consideration of the preparation of said plan, the
City shall agree to pay the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000 ) The
services to be provided by Simons, Li and Associates and shall be completed
not later than five (5) months subsequent to the execution of the agree-
ment
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 3rd day of November , 1981
